Until today, neither did I. Guess Doug DeMuro was right...that, or it was stolen. Maybe someone on Oppo knows the owner? (Greater Vancouver, BC area)

Judging by the miss matched wheels maybe it got a flat and then the other wheel got a flat and then they just left it and forgot about it.

It's weird that the registration on the plates is new-ish.

It's an Allroad. I don't blame the owner for ditching it.

I would guess it was getting to be far too expensive for them to keep up, and one day it broke down and they just said, "Fuck it" and left it there.

Obviously since it is an All Road, something went wrong.

That's what makes me think this wasn't the owner's choice, so to speak...

When I was in California I saw an abandoned W221. Suprised to see something so new and expensive just abandoned in a parking garage.

This is sort of what I thought of - Dubai, UAE, Abu Dhabi ... when the financial crisis hit in 2008-09, expats drove their nice cars to the airport, got on a plane, and left. In US America if you miss a few payments, they tow your car away. In other countries, mostly in the Middle East, they throw you in jail.

The Allroad was a bit of a problem child, So it's probably got something wrong with it.

The newest car I can think of that I've seen abandoned is a VW Polo from late 2004, has been outside a workshop for months. It was probably a rental car.
Full of the sound of the Gran Fury, signifying nothing.

I've got a couple of friends that made the mistake of purchasing these, and one of those brave fools purchased it used. Based on their experiences I'd vote for ditched as well.

Suspension failure , common fault on these model of Allroad's. And too expensive to repair.

He got the bill to repair the suspension, it was cheaper to dump it by the road.
